World Whiskey Society 33yr Single Malt Scotch Distilled at Macallan

___

Originally filled with Macallan spirit on the January 23, 1990, the whisky has since been maturing in a refill hogshead (cask number 994). Only 179 bottles have been made available!

World Whiskey Society is proud to offer this fine example of the Distiller's art as a special selection from the oldest stocks of Whisky. No water is added to reduce its strength, as the angel's share has already taken care of that. No caramel coloring is added so that you can see its pure and natural color.

World Whiskey Society has chosen to bottle this Malt without chill-filtration in the traditional style which does not remove nose, proteins, and important taste factors. As you can see on the label of this bottle, it is one of a very restricted offering, when when consumed, is unrepeatable.

NOSE
Evoking a sense of intrigue, the nose reveals a delicate interplay of chalky whispers and a tender floral grace. Amidst this embrace, lingering traces of citrus offer a refreshing contrast. A subtle secret emerges as well, a playful dance of fruity gooseberry and whimsical bubblegum is revealed when the whisky is cooled - a charming discovery that enriches the sensory journey.

PALATE
An exquisite mouthfeel delights the senses, enrobing the palate in a symphony of sensations. While the peak notes may differ, the layers maintain a captivating narrative, a testament to the craftsmanship that lingers, nurturing the echoes of the past. Marauding vanillas, though tangy, contribute an element of character, enhancing the whisky's unique persona.

FINISH
The whisky's journey culminates in a finale that carries the signature of a tale well told. Amidst the complexities, an unfolding of flavors takes place, enveloping the senses with a fusion of late butterscotch notes, imparting a delightful richness that lingers on the palate.
